Do Seek Their Meat From God

Roberts' short story projects two interesting point of views that, in some way, oppose each other. First, the narrator explains the panthers' motives and reasons for their actions, which seem perfectly reasonable. Then, the narrator proceeds to express the thoughts of the man. This provides a vantage for the reader in which the reader can explore both sides of a conflict and truly understand a story to its full scale. The author makes the whole plot very interesting in this sense because the reader can see the whole set up that leads to the conflict between the panthers and the man.

What Is Love?

That’s a good question.

For me...

Love is the driving force that helps you accomplish the impossible.

Love is sacrificing yourself to make her happy.

Love is summoning up the courage to say ‘I love you.’

Love is being honest to her always.

Love is trusting her.

Love is seeing her as perfect while overlooking her imperfections.

Love is the willingness to let her change you.

Love is letting her run around in your head unrestrained.

Love is thinking about her and wondering whether she’s thinking about you too.

Love is doing things for her you never would have done before.

Love is walking her home when you’re freezing but knowing its all worthwhile.

Love is talking to her at 2 in the morning not letting her know you’re sick or tired.

Love is doing stupid things in front of her, knowing it’s okay.

Love is knowing when she’s sad.

Love is being happy when she’s happy and making her happy when she’s down.

Love is letting her put her work before you.

Love is getting jealous when she talks to other guys.

Love is giving her space and hiding your reluctance.

Love is never apologizing because you wont do anything to hurt her.

Love is not just stating what love is monotonously but reflecting it in what you do.

Even though sometimes you can’t do anything about them,

Love is always listening to her problems and standing by her side.

And you know you’re in love when the words just flow to you when you start defining what love is.

And of course, love is knowing which bubble tea she likes.
